We are located across the street from the county homeless shelter on New Falls Road. Guests at the shelter (who come with a letter) receive 2 full outfits each, including outerwear. We also have numerous people come to our shop in search of free and/or affordable items.
If you know of someone who has had a fire or otherwise fallen on emergency hard times, please have them contact the church office. We can provide a letter that will allow them shop for free.
If you’re cleaning out closets & drawers, please consider donating your clean, gently used, or new unwanted items to our thrift shop. We ask that items be clean and not too heavily worn. You can drop them off on the days the store is open or call 215-945-5502 or e-mail office@emilieumc.com to make other arrangements.
Thank you for helping us collect 56 shoeboxes in 2022.
2024 Shoebox Drive runs October 20 – November 17
Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan’s Purse, is the world’s largest Christmas outreach of its kind. Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has delivered gift-filled shoeboxes to over 124 million children affected by war, poverty, natural disasters, and other crises in more than 150 countries and territories. They partner with local churches to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with those who receive shoebox gifts and offer a 12-lesson discipleship program, The Greatest Journey, that helps boys and girls learn what it means to follow the Lord and share their faith with others.
