Emilie UMC is a community called to worship and glorify God, by Bringing people to Christ, Growing people for Christ and Serving people for Christ.
Outreach provides the opportunity to serve individuals in our local community as well around the world. Check out the opportunities to participate in outreach here at Emilie and call the church office if you would like any additional information.
Thank you for helping us collect 43 shoeboxes in 2020.
Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan’s Purse, is the world’s largest Christmas outreach of its kind. Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has delivered gift-filled shoeboxes to over 124 million children affected by war, poverty, natural disasters, and other crises in more than 150 countries and territories. They partner with local churches to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with those who receive shoebox gifts and offer a 12-lesson discipleship program, The Greatest Journey, that helps boys and girls learn what it means to follow the Lord and share their faith with others.

Emilie’s Thrift Shop is not open at this time and will remain closed until further notice.
Emilie’s Thrift Shop is operated by the women of the church. Any revenues generated by the shop help support missions of the United Methodist Women (UMW). Mission donations are dispersed both locally and abroad.
The thrift shop carries a large supply of men’s, women’s, children’s, and infant’s clothing, outerwear and shoes. We also carry soft goods such as linens and towels. The last week of each month we have a basket sale, whereby shoppers can fill one of our baskets and pay only $4.00!
Wednesdays, 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM
Thursdays, 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM
We are located across the street from the county homeless shelter on New Falls Road. Guests at the shelter receive 2 full outfits each, including outerwear. We also have numerous people come to our shop in search of free and/or affordable items. Following our Community Dinner (Shared Meal) each month we invite our guests to choose a few items from the shop so that they will be more comfortable in their situations.
If you know of someone who has had a fire or otherwise fallen on emergency hard times, please send them to us. We let them shop for free.
If you’re cleaning out closets & drawers, please consider donating your clean, gently used, or new unwanted items to our thrift shop. We ask that items be clean and not too heavily worn. You can drop them off on Wednesdays, 5:30 – 8 PM and Thursdays, 9 AM – 12:30 PM, or call 215-945-5502 ext 115 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to make other arrangements.
