Emilie UMC is pleased to share the news that Bishop John Schol and the Cabinet have appointed the Rev. Lori Reyes as full-time pastor of Emilie United Methodist Church effective July 1, 2022.

Lori L. Reyes was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and raised on the north coast of Arecibo, Puerto Rico. She is the mother of two young men

Lori has served as a Local Pastor at Bridesburg United Methodist Church in Philadelphia County since 2020. She is currently an active member of the Emanuel Emmaus Community.  Her mission is to apply the gifts that God has given her through her ministry in the local Church. The focus will be on the role of developing and equipping the spiritual formation of the local church, laypeople, and leadership. Her hopes are that through her contagious enthusiasm for the Gospel and the Church, she may inspire and lead others to Christ

Graduation Sunday – May 22

On May 22, 2022  we will be celebrating our graduates during worship. If you would like to help shower them with some Emilie love and a congratulatory card, you may bring them to worship with you on May 15th or 22nd and place them in the bins with their names located in the Narthex.

Pentecost Decorating

After worship on Sunday, May 29th. You are invited to help decorate the Sanctuary for Pentecost Sunday, as we celebrate the birthday of the Church and the gift of the Holy Spirit. Join us on Sunday, May 29th following worship.

We will be painting the windows, hanging streamers, and blowing up balloons. There will be refreshments provided. If you have any questions, please contact

We will have cupcakes to celebrate the birthday of the Church and the gifting of the Holy Spirit. Families will have the opportunity to decorate a kite or pinwheel (while supplies last).

Youth Mission Trip

Please be in prayer for the 8 members of our Mission Trip

Ways to support the mission trip in the coming weeks:

1.   Prayer, please be in prayer for the youth and leaders before and during the trip.

2.   Donate an item from the donation & sponsorship wall (in the Narthex).

3.   Write a note of encouragement or Agape to the members of the trip, these will be distributed throughout the trip to remind the team that their church family is thinking of them.

4.   Come out on Sunday, July 10th at 7:15am to send the mission team off in prayer.
