2022 Christmas Eve Worship Options

Please join us for our Christmas Eve candlelight service!

ABC’S OF CHRISTMAS, FAMILY WORSHIP SERVICE—5:00 PM
This worship service is planned with families (especially those with small children) in mind. Join us for a short service to hear the message of Christmas in a fun new way. Child safe light will be used in place of traditional flame candle.

CANDLELIGHT WORSHIP SERVICE—7:00 PM
This worship service will include lessons & carols to help us recognize & prepare for the coming Christ.

Special Worship Services
Christmas can be a season filled with fun holiday gatherings, family reunions, and the wonder of children; but it can also be a difficult time of year for those of us who experience hardship of any kind. Many struggle with things such as loneliness, depression, missing a loved one who has died, financial difficulties, being new in a community, or health issues. The Blue Christmas service recognizes the challenges that the holidays can present and offers comfort and hope in the midst of stress. Please join us on the evening of December 14th at 7 pm for a service of prayer, music, and reflection.
2022 Advent Daily Devotional
To prepare your hearts for Christmas we have a daily devotional. It will be posted daily on our Emilie Facebook page, you can pick up a copy from the table in the Nathex or view/print your own using the link below.

2022 Advent Mission Collections
Each year we do a 4 week collection of various items to help support the community around us. Please see the information below on what will be collected each week and when the items can be dropped off.
Week 1: Sunday, November 27th – First Sunday in Advent: HOPE
Mission Focus: Spread hope to children with new toys distributed through our Toys for Tots collection.
Week 2: Sunday, December 4th – Second Sunday in Advent: PEACE
Misson Focus: Spread the peace of Jesus to our Emilie shut-ins and the children connected to Emilie through the schools that use our building, with a collection of Candy canes, Individually wrapped candy, and Small store bought tins of cookies
Week 3: Sunday, December 11th – Third Sunday in Advent: JOY
Mission Focus: Spread joy by writing Christmas cards to shut-ins and other members of our Emilie family. Donations of stamps are greatly appreciated!
Week 4: Sunday, December 18th – Fourth Sunday in Advent: LOVE
Mission Focus: Spread love through the collection of nonperishable food items to feed the hungry. Items will go on the Share Shelf as well as be donated to the ERA food pantry.
2022 Advent Family Night- Sunday, December 4th at 5:30PM
Come together with your church family, for a time of eating cookies, making crafts & singing carols.
2022 Share-A-Christmas
As we honor our Mission statement to “Serve people through Christ” this Christmas season, we are once again blessing families in our church and community through our Share A Christmas program.
Donation envelopes can be found on the special giving tree in the Narthex beginning November 27th. Donations deadline – December 18th.
